fonts-cmu software package provides sets the computer modern unicode fonts, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-cmu
fonts-cmu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-cmu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-cmu *
You will get with fonts-cmu package name, version, architecture and description in a table
